Ridgefield Summer In Review 2025

a dog with a family sitting on the lawn, to show how nice lawns cleaned by Yardly Pup Look

If you spotted our crew out and about this summer—hi again! We live next door in Redding, so Ridgefield feels like home. Here’s a look at where we popped in, who we met, and a few pro tips for families with dogs.

Music nights in Ballard Park (CHIRP)

We caught several CHIRP concerts at Ballard Park—blankets on the grass, great music, and a true small‑town vibe. CHIRP ran free Tuesday/Thursday shows from May 27 through August 28, 2025, with 7:00 p.m. start times. One important heads‑up for pet parents: dogs aren’t permitted in Ballard Park during CHIRP, so plan a pre‑show walk and leave pups relaxing at home. CHIRP

Ridgefield’s SummerFest takeover on Main Street

Main Street was buzzing for SummerFest (Sat, July 26)—sidewalk sales, over 100 vendors, a live DJ, carnival games, and even Touch‑a‑Truck/mini train rides at Lounsbury House. We stopped by, said hi to neighbors, and handed out a bunch of pup‑waste bag rolls. If you missed it, put it on your 2026 list—SummerFest is a perfect family day. inRidgefieldridgefieldct250.orgFacebook+1

Ridgefield Farmers Market (now weekly!)

Big upgrade this year: the Ridgefield Farmers Market went weekly starting June 2025 at Jesse Lee Church (Saturdays, 10–1). We loved grabbing produce before weekend cleanups. If you’re bringing your dog, aim for earlier in the morning when it’s cooler and less crowded. Ridgefield Farmers MarketinRidgefield

Pride in the Park at Ballard

We joined the community at Ridgefield Pride in the Park on June 1—a family‑friendly celebration with live music, lawn games, and nonprofits from across town. If you’re planning for next year, arrive early for parking and bring a picnic. (Note: check the venue’s pet policy each year.) CT Insider

A night out at The Ridgefield Playhouse

Between concerts and comedy, the Playhouse kept summer lively—Aziz Ansari added a second show on August 6 due to demand, and the calendar stayed stacked into September. Bookmark their listings if you like spontaneous date nights after early dog walks. CT Insiderridgefieldplayhouse.org

Art time at The Aldrich

The Aldrich kept things fresh this summer and continues to expand its outdoor experience after a major garden/campus upgrade—worth a stroll before dinner on Main Street. Check their events/exhibitions page for family programs. CT Insiderthealdrich.org

How Yardly Pup fit in (and how we can help this fall)

We spent the summer chatting with neighbors at the market, wandering SummerFest, and catching CHIRP shows—then heading back to keep local yards fresh. If you’re in 06877 or 06879 and want less time scooping and more time out at Ballard, Main Street, or the Playhouse, our weekly dog waste removal keeps your lawn clean, safe, and guest‑ready—week after week.

Ready for a spotless yard? Book in minutes; we’ll handle the dirty work so you can enjoy the best of Ridgefield.
